What unites us, what divides us?
ethical education is more important than religion – we should focus on what unites us (ethics) thÄn what seperates us (Religion as it hÄs been used thru history) Quoting his Holiness the Dalai Lama
I wonder if that is something in our western society we learn – focusing on ‘I’ and putting more emphasis on our differences. In the marketing slang we call it:
‘what makes me unique? how do I stand out from my peers?’
The experiences I made are no matter where I go, we are not so different from one another.
Although there are various values (about what is Seen as Proper, decent, ‘right’, the ‘ultimate truth’…) in our diverse nations & countries, we all have our basic human needs and we all want to be part of SOMETHING, whatever THAT is…..
I am focusing more now on what brings us together. It is a lot more joy,fun, good vibes in my life than focusing on what is dividing us..
